Want to know how to literally get your dog eating out of the palm of your hand? The secret is scrumptious homemade dog biscuits made with careful preparation and love. If you are thinking this is way too much trouble to bother making, think again. With these easy to follow dog food recipes, your dog will be a dog biscuit connoisseur before you can say, "Good boy!"

Not many of you might know this but dogs absolutely love the creamy goodness of peanut butter treats. Baking has often been a hostile territory with all their exacting and seemingly strict procedures but you will be pleasantly surprised with this particular recipe. Mix together 1 cup milk, 2 Tbsp honey, 2 Tbsp oil with ½ cup of peanut butter. Pour this mixture into a bowl with 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour and 1 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour. Scoop onto cookie sheets and bake for 20 minutes in a 350?F temperature.

How about making a batch of delicious oatmeal snacks? Take a bowl and combine half a cup of whole wheat flour, a teaspoon of baking soda, 3 cups of oatmeal and 2 Tbsp of honey. Add 2 egg yolks and a cup of ice water. Make sure that the resulting mixture is smooth and lump free. After baking for 15 minutes in 350?F, let cool in the wire rack and cut up in cookie sized snacks for your pet.

Let us not forget our more aged dogs of course. As they get older their teeth become weaker and they will need soft food. This particular treat is chewable and soft, perfect for them. Combine ¼ cup dry milk powder, 1/4 cup wheat germ, and 2 1/2 oz jars of beef or chicken flavored baby food. Knead them and form into little balls. Bake them for 15 minutes at 350?F until done.

Liver does not always sound like it should belong on our dinner plates, but for canines these are acceptable and great treats you can give. Dogs love liver! Chop and puree 1 lb of liver and blend this with 2 cups of cornmeal, 1 cup of flour and a dash of salt. Roll the mixture onto a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes in 350?F heat. After cooling, cut these up in small pieces and keep for reserved doggie snacking.

If you are knowledgeable about baking, be creative and throw in ingredients you think will fare well with your pet. Apple, carrots and parsley are terrific items that are tasty and healthy at the same time. As you create your own dog food recipes, look up the food that will prove to be hazardous to canines such as chocolates, onion, grapes and most nuts.

Now wasn't that easy? Basically, we just learned how to put together some ingredients and prepare them in the simplest way possible. Not only that these are some of the yummiest treats there are. Polly can have her cracker, but Fido will take his delicious homemade dog biscuits any day.
